Last week in music I set a goal to get some of the song done seeing i had barely anything and now I have like 30-40 seconds which is amazing!!! Today I hope to rehearse with everyone else and make it come together.
My focus was to find out who the first person to be legally executed by electric chair was. Before researching the topic I knew a little bit about it, but both of these sites opened my mind to new knowledge about my chosen topic that I would never of known before such as the prison, who came up with the idea and the work that went into making and testing the chair to see if it was efficient. My 2 sources were history.com and wikipedia . I was interested in this topic because i’ve watched a few death row documentaries and it’s fascinating to me because we don’t have the death penalty so it just shows me another side to how other countries run their criminal system. The first source, history.com provided quality and descriptive information surrounding my question. It indicated to me where the execution happened, how the chair was manufactured and details around whose idea it was and the amount of volts used. The walk up Sewell peak was exactly what I was expecting it to be like. My goals were to be one of the first people up there and to not get annoyed at people and be patient. I achieved one of these. I walked up with Grace and we came in the top 10 and the first girls. The other goal I set, I didn't think I was going to achieve based on how I act but I'm still really proud of everything else I did. The reason behind Mr England wanting use to do that is about NCEA and aspects of life. NCEA is the mountain and by climbing it and making our way over the hills or bumps we are making it to the top and to a view we have never seen before. To have this feeling of satisfaction and triumph after a huge accomplishment. And to see how grateful we should be for the town we have and to get a new perspective of it.
